The morning’s young, the skies still gray,
But winds are wild in their ballet.
    Lightning dances, bold and bright,
    Carving gold into the night.

I lean against the window sill,
Heart so calm, yet racing still.
    A smile blooms, I can’t contain—
I blush beneath this sky of flame.

The first rain falls, so soft, so shy,
Kissing the earth from up high.
And oh—that scent, that sacred sign,
Of soil reborn, of roots and time.

It rises up, that earthy song,
A breath I’ve missed for far too long.
It fills my chest, it spins me round,
Like ancient magic in the ground.

My eyes light up with every flash,
    Each thunderclap, each skyward crash.
This storm, it flirts—it speaks in fire,
Stirs my soul, and fans desire.

The world still sleeps, but I’m awake,
In awe of what the heavens make.
    Blushing, smiling, soul set free,
The storm outside is part of me.
